Allergy season is around the corner. The common symptoms associated with allergies are also on the IDPH exclusionary guidelines for schools when screening for Covid. Erie School District will accept doctor's notes identifying students that have seasonal allergies in lieu of quarantining. The note must state that the student has seasonal allergies and symptoms associated with those seasonal allergies. Our district will also accept doctor's notes identifying pre-existing conditions such as chronic headaches, etc... However, fever, vomiting, loss of taste or smell, and diarrhea are considered symptoms that will continue to result in quarantine and require a doctor's visit prior to returning to school.
